Who you are dealing with
Ryder Air and Electrical is a small, Grafton-based operation. Air conditioning, general electrical, and the Level 2 network work most sparkies are not accredited to touch.
Small has trade-offs and we would rather be upfront about them. We are not a twenty-four-hour outfit with six vans and a call centre. Normal hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, and genuine emergencies get handled outside that where we can.
What you get in return is that the person who quotes your job is the person who does it, remembers the conversation you had, and answers the phone afterwards.
Wired to AS/NZS 3000, and certified on completion
All electrical work is carried out to AS/NZS 3000, the Australian and New Zealand Wiring Rules. Refrigerant work is carried out under an ARCtick licence, general electrical under a NSW electrical contractor licence, and network service work is lodged with Essential Energy. Every electrical job leaves with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, which certifies it against that standard.
Keep that certificate. You will want it if you sell, if you claim on insurance, or if a future electrician needs to know what was done and when. If a tradesman has ever worked at your place and not given you one, that is worth knowing about.
How we work
We tell you the truth about what you need. Sometimes that means talking someone out of a ducted system, or saying the switchboard matters more than the downlights they rang about, or that repairing a fifteen-year-old air conditioner is not worth the money.
We size things properly. Air conditioning gets measured from room volume, glazing and orientation. Cable gets sized for the actual run. It takes longer at the quote and it is the difference between a system that works and one you resent.
We leave it clean. Every time.
We certify everything. A CCEW on every electrical job, and lodgement with Essential Energy on Level 2 work. Keep the paperwork, you will want it for insurance and when you sell.
